Where the information comes from
A profile's basic data comes from the company's own public information, above all its imprint and its website. When a company claims its profile, it can add to and correct the information. We check new and changed content before it is published.
How we read websites
To create profiles and keep them up to date, our program “companypedia-bot” reads public pages of company websites. It follows the rules in a website's robots.txt.
Automatically created texts
Parts of the texts are created automatically and are labelled as such. Company data from the imprint and reviews are excluded.
Order and paid placement
In industry and city listings, Premium profiles come first and are labelled as such. Claimed profiles follow, then all others in alphabetical order. On the homepage, the “Featured company profiles” area is marked as paid placement; only Premium profiles appear there. The search page sorts by name, not by plan. The suggestions while you type always show better matches first; among equally good matches, Premium profiles come first, then claimed profiles, then profiles with more reviews.
Reviews
We show reviews as an average and a count, with a link to the source. We take them over unchanged from reviewfinder; a Premium profile changes nothing about that.
The “Verified profile” badge
Only profiles whose company has proven its authority and claimed the profile carry the badge.
Report errors and object
Is a detail wrong, or do you want to object to the publication of data? Use the “Report or correct this entry” link on the profile, or write to us at lars@hero-pages.com. We check every report.
